DiSnEyLaNd!!!!!!
So, my sister's big 3-0 is coming up on April 3rd... and we all were wondering WHAT to do!.. she's not one that wants people to dote all over her.. and a surprise party or any kind of party, I think, is out of the question..she would want ALL the family together and have EVERYONE having fun and the attention not be focused on her.. SOOO?.. I suggested Disneyland! :) GO ME! (sorry, I'll step down from my soapbox) ;) I'm really bummed because my dad's not going now. I was hoping ALL of the fam could go, but what do ya do?.. so it's my lil fam with me and my son, my sisters fam which consists of her,her husband and daughter that just turned one, and then my lil sis is currently working in Carson City during session, and will be flying down friday night... and just randomly, by chance, my friend Sascha has spring break next week, so he will be joining us as well. Our motto?: the more the merrier!! :) It should be so much fun! I'm anxious in so many ways, but it should be a fun experience for ALL! I can't wait! :D K has been last year with his dad, me and my sisters and mom haven't been for like 20 years, my brother in law has never been, nor has Sascha.. so we're all very much so looking forward to it! We leave in ONE WEEK!! Definitely check back for more posts on all of the fun we're gonna have! yea!
The need to blog
Ok, so I feel like I should have pics with every post, but I guess I'll have to do without pics right now. I have some pics from my best friend Jennifer's, wedding, but they are on my sisters camera. I forgot my camera! Can you believe it?? My best friend's wedding and I don't have my camera??!! My sister was nice enough to bring hers and get some shots and I took some at the reception. As soon as she gets those to me I will post them.
Jennifer's wedding was Saturday,March21,2009. It was beautiful! Windy, but beautiful. It only sucked to be outside for the pics before and after the ceremony. Thank goodness the ceremony was indoors! :) It was so windy though, so I'm not sure how her photos are going to turn out. I hope she gets some good shots. The reception was immediately after the ceremony across from the church at the Panos Hall. It was decorated beautifully. Everyone had a good time.. my family came, well, my mom, older sis and her hubby and daughter, and of course I had my little man tagging along with me the whole time. He was pretty good. When we were takin pics before the ceremony, just the bridal party, he helped entertain my best friend's daughter who was the flower girl. She wasn't too keen on taking pics. She is so adorable, but was getting sleepy I think. She just turned three. When it came time for us all to walk down the aisle she got upset and was cryin and just wanted her mama and she very much so wanted her mommy's veil. :) so RIGHT after the ceremony for all the family/wedding party pics she had to hold onto her veil, it was so cute! It was a great day, with the exception of all the wind. The reception was fun, the food was good, and even better she had a chocolate fountain!!!! A SUPER MUST at ANY occassion, I believe.. :) SOooo... I had chocolate covered strawberries (My ultimate favorite!), marshmallows, brownies..mmm... soo good! It was fun to run around in a pretty dress again and have fun! Jennifer looked absolutely beautiful! I wish them all the best! She's soakin it up in Jamaica right now!! (jealous...) :)

Another one bites the dust..
Thought I would update everyone and let it be known.. the spider..has been taken care of.. ;) T.O.D (that would be time..of..death..): 7:30 pm. May he rest in peace.. well at least I can now! Hopefully I won't find more tomorrow.
New pet?
So, apparently I have a new pet living in my garage. I discovered him this morning while on our way out the door to take K to school. He looks JUST like the one I killed last year! Some of you may remember getting that text pic. ;) They aren't so cute, and they are SO big! I have no idea what KIND of spider it is, but I would like for them to not take up home in my garage! So, if there is anyone out there that would like this cuddly, cute creature just let me know. However, you need to pick him up NOW! He has officially worn out his welcome.. so act now, because I don't think he's going to live long. He would already be dead, but seems the LAST HUGE spider took all of my Raid, so I'm trying to figure out a plan of attack before he welcomes himself into my house! At least the last guy was by the garage door and practically OUT of my garage, this guy is all but opening the door to my HOUSE! ICK! HELP! I'll have to wait for the man of the house to get home to take care of him I suppose.. but he's at school right now counting legos and re-learning to count to 100! lol He's known how to do that for a while now!! I guess the rest of the class needs to learn too. They are celebrating their 100th day of school today so he had to bring a collection of 100 things to school.. yeah, THAT teacher's crazy! So we packed up 100 legos this morning and off we went! Just to discover our new friend outside the door. :( I should have sent it to school with K, eh, but there wasn't 100 of them, THANK GOODNESS!!

Dad on his birthday
My dad on his first birthday!
Well, his eyes are closed, but this was the best one I got of him with his cake. :) The gummy fish, or swedish fish are a family favorite and what my grandma always gives us.. I guess cuz we're a fishin family.. I guess the majority are..*cough cough* me? not so much.. but I'll take the swedish fish! ;)

Maddie aNd Mama
This is my sis and her daughter Madilyn. They are just hanging out on the swing outside the cabin. She loves that swing. That's where I get her to go to sleep. ;) She's my cute baby girl! I love her to pieces! Kaiden loves being the "acting big brother". He loves to help take care of her. He's always been that way with babies, but this has been a whole new experience having a cousin around to actually play with! He's so cute with her.
oNe K- oNe H..
Ok, so I'm figuring this blogging stuff out little by little.. This is me and my boy hanging out in front of our cabin at the lake. He's a ham. I can't ever get him to actually smile for any pics, but I guess that's what makes him, him! He's a goofy, great kid! Sometimes I don't think I know how lucky I am! For him to be able to put up with a mom like me he MUST be one great kid! I have to play both MOM and DAD roles 99% of the time! it's no wonder I have multiple personalities!! lol .."be tough, come here let me give you a hug"...and I wonder why my life is always in a catch 22.. hmm.. lol ANYWAY..can I get more than one pic on here at a time?? Guess I'll do some experimenting and find out!
Special times, special people, special places
My dad's birthday was sunday,March 15th. Now,usually you will find me in church on sundays, but I was peer pressured into going out to our cabin at the lake to celebrate my dad's birthday. :) ok, so I wasn't pressured. I LOVE my dad, and sadly don't get to see him that much, so of course I wanted to go. My grandma and aunt from Utah were going to be there as well, and it's been a while since I'd seen them too. So my sister and I packed up our kids and headed out. We had a lot of fun hanging out. My uncle that is from Roy, UT has been working here in Vegas for a few months and brought his fourwheelers down for us to play with while he is here, so we were riding the fourwheelers around and down to the lake. It was so much fun.! Had some races, rode my son around, he LOVES it. My sister took him on one and I actually got to ride alone, and actually RIDE... and Kaiden kept wanting to race! He was telling my sister,"GO FASTER! GO FASTER! WE NEED TO BEAT HER! lol Sadly, my uncle will be leaving in the next couple of weeks and will be taking the fourwheelers with him. :( I so need to get me some! ha. It was a great day, a lot of relaxing which in itself was amazing, got good pics, great family time and some refreshing wind blowing in my face fourwheelin time! ahhh life is great! My grandma got a cake for my dad and since my dad always gets cakes from sams club and has photos put on them for my grandma, she decided to do her own version and put actual photos on the cake. It was so cute! My grandma is so cute! We took the photos off before consuming of course. :) It was a great day!
Now, maybe I ought to give some background to this "cabin".. My great grandpa and grandpa started building it in 1954 and finished it in 1955. It later had a room added on and the time of that I don't know. It is a small place, but it is our haven and home away from home. I have many many memories there going back to when I was 7 or 8, but I have been going out there since I was born. We have big family gatherings out there and it gets cramped, but there's nothing better! The big gatherings have started to dwindle as there are so many families and they continue to grow so much and it's hard with everyone's schedules, but the times shared there are still very much cherished. It is many of our family members' favorite place to go, especially my grandma and grandpa. It's bitter sweet for everyone to be out there now as my grandpa passed away last June. He is much like my dad, quiet and loving in his own ways, but you always knew you were loved and he loved being out there, fishin and seeing family. I miss him more than I can express and find myself emotional a lot when I think of him. I can't wait to see him again!! For now, I will cherish every moment I am able to have at his cabin and remember all our times together. We've had many holidays at the cabin, but an annual tradition is Easter. My son, Kaiden, has spent every Easter of his life out there and I hope it continues. Here in about 3 1/2 weeks he'll be spending his 7th Easter there! It's great!..we send kids out to find easter eggs on cactuses.. haha some think it morbid, but that's how I grew up and I love it! I guess it's not just cactuses, but that's what makes it interesting when we tell people. The cabin is on a good amount of land and we search for eggs, rubber animals, and money all around the cabin and surrounding desert land. It's awesome! More will come of Easter time in a few weeks I'm sure and I will post some pics later as well. There are so many stories to tell about the cabin and holidays and family times out there I could be writing this all day.. well, I'm at work and my lunch break is about over. :) I will get some pics posted soon, hopefully THAT isn't too hard to figure out! ;)

All in getting started...
I'm up..and starting..a blog?.. I've been intrigued, I guess, at starting a blog because, well, "everyone's doing it".. I've had some requests from friends and people asking me if I have one.. and then some replies of, "you don't have a blog?". Ok, here I am, starting a blog. To be honest, the first day I attempted to start this I was a bit frustrated, ok, A LOT frustrated! It was late, I was way tired and not knowing how to navigate myself around was getting to me. I am a mother, and it's because of that awesome role over the years I have been able to find what LITTLE patience I possess. I'm not sure how this blogging thing is going to go, but I will have faith that I can figure it all out as I did with Myspace and facebook, as I was equally as frustrated with those at the beginning as well. So I will give it a go and see how "fun" this can be. I must admit that I have my layout, background, colors and such picked out and it looks awesome. It is with that that I am more excited to have started a blog.. IT WORKED! :) I have had so many ideas as to what to blog about.. even though, with me, I am a "keep it to myself" kinda gal, I'm excited and overwhelmed at the same time. So even if this is just a journal for me to keep and nothing more I'm very much looking forward to adding to my blog, learning new things and testing out my creativity skills. Wish me luck!
