Videos, Memories,Random thoughts..aka My therapy :)

Little snipets of video of Kaiden during the egg hunt :)

Just LOVE my boy! He's getting so big! I remember his first Easter; hunting for eggs with him strapped to the front of me. He didn't help find any of the eggs though. :) Actually, he could care less at 4 months old! ;) Maddie could have really cared less too, and she is 14 months old! ha oh yeah, more to come on her! I have pics, of course I have pics.. she my cutest little girl! Kaiden says all the time he wishes she were his sister. It's kinda sad sometimes, but it's so cute! He tells me that randomly all the time. One day last fall, during soccer season Heather had come to one of the practices because she was putting together an awesome book for the coach (and parents) so she was taking pics. She had brought Maddie and Kaiden loved keeping an eye on her during the practice. It was kinda chilly that day and Maddie slept most the time in her stroller and gma and I were taking charge. He was so cute at making sure no one woke her up and he kept leaving practice to go see her.. then as we were leaving, driving down the street, he always has to keep up with whomever we have left and watches out for everyone's cars. So he says to me, "where's aunt Heather, where's her car". I told him that she was going the other way and I think he even asked about Maddie and I told him that she was going with her mommy and we were going home. He says to me, I hope I can remember this right, "I wish I had a sister, a sister AND a brother, I wish Maddie was my sister and she could go home with us. I wish there was a wishing well and I had a money and I would wish for (a sister, brother, or Maddie)" can't remember exactly which one he had said. It broke my heart and I felt so bad.. but what do ya do? The poor guy has been asking for a sibling for sooo lonnngg. He has even tried contemplating guys for me to date so I can marry one so I can have more kids.. haha this kid goes the whole 9 yards I'm tellin ya and is so funny. One night he says, "I'm thinking of someone you can date.. are you?". I laughed so hard when he said that! He's such a smart and creative kid. He's a great kid!.. have our trials like most do, but he's wonderful. I am very lucky!.. He's handled what he's been dealt VERY well. I think he's a special spirit that is strong enough to overcome such hard trials.. I can only imagine what the Lord has in store for him! I don't think he understands our situation much, but I've given him some insight when he's asked. Every now and again, and for some reason, more recently, he brings up his dad and me. He argued with me about our relationship in the past, as if HE were there.. haha.. yeah, I have an arguer/negotiator. :).. he kept insisting we were married because he was in my tummy.. ohh okkayyyy. . am I going to start getting these questions already? He's only 6 for heaven's sake!! Heaven help me!.. and I'm a terrible liar!lol.. I wouldn't lie to my son about any of that anyway, and especially with how I'm battling a lieing issue with HIM, that's not good to lie myself. So,I convinced him that, no, his dad and I weren't married when he was in my tummy and keeps insisting we be together.. yeah, uh.. WHAT do I say to all that?.. I have MANY things I want to say to that, but A LOT of it I shouldn't tell him, nor in the way I would LIKE to. ;).. but one day he'll get the whole picture and his dad will have a lot of questions to answer.. haha.. actually, just the other day he was talking to him on the phone and he brought that up, he said," dad, how come you didn't marry mommy when I was in her tummy?".. I about died when I heard him ask that.. we were driving to my cousins for dinner and I couldn't hear the conversation, but loved the fact that he said that to him! GOOD!!.. Yeah, you throw those questions out there buddy!!! haha Put him on the spot! ha.. and then Kaiden says, "dad, you said "I don't know" FOUR TIMES!".. hahahahahah THAT was hillarious. I'm sorry. I know I need to be more Christ like, and that is one of my biggest challenges in life right there, even though we are "friends", it's still something I struggle with. I've been doing good getting back into church. Went through the temple in January. :) I'm reading my scriptures more and praying.. and with K too. We have been reading the scriptures together at night.I read it and then explain it to him in "lamans terms" haha.. and it helps him understand it, and me, who'm I kiddin..ha and he has been getting into it. I love it! Many of you probably haven't even gotten this far since I've just babbled on, but I think this is just for my own therapy. :).. so I'll just keep writing.. ha well, I should be going to bed.. long day, and the last few nights I haven't gotten much sleep. At least I have tomorrow off, just have to get the kiddo up for school! I LOVE THOSE DAYS! Well, I was writing while my last video uploaded and it STILL hasn't finished..geeze!.. I hope everyone has a good night.

ok, so I had to re-upload it and it gets to randomly go at the bottom.. that's how things are working today.. I'm getting to bed now!

ReTrEiViNg ThE eGgS..

This IS and will FOREVER Be a tradition in our family.. the family shot on the porch before the official egg hunt! I only got one (bad) shot as I was trying to hurry so no one would run.. and because my dad was shooing me into the picture telling me that there can only be ONE photographer.. and apparently that was HIM and not me! lol. It is usually his sister, my aunt Lynette that takes them (the photog), but she went on a hike with my other uncle and cousins and didn't realize it was Easter weekend when she planned it and has always wanted to go on this hike, so I guess she is forgiven. ;) So if I get an updated shot maybe I'll share. :)
Ok, so once again, you have to be smarter than the blog, and you know when you have too many pics when you have to try and bypass their "only 5 pics uploaded at a time" rule.. pfffhh... who made THAT up?? soo.. I had to upload pics a couple times.. and once again, they stack themselves and the first five that took place are at that BOTTOM of the page.. :( One of these days I'll get it! I really thought I had it this time! hahaha Not much else to say other than "this is K finding his eggs" is there?? haha You know you're an only child when there are a BAZILLION photos of you just doing random or stupid things.. and A LOT of them!! :)..and I'm the proud mama. He calls me "mama" now.. don't think he ever has. It's been mom mom when he was little little, but always mommy or mom.. but now it's mama! :) It's so cute! He's such a mama's boy! ♥him
Now THIS one could use some explanation couldn't it? Things get interesting now don't they? :) That would be a grave stone my dad made for some poor chipmunk that was around our property that I can't remember right now, dangit, what the story is.. but he died somehow and my dad had to give it a gravestone.. see.. most everyone in the fam has a stone like that one, but with names on them, not gravestones.. so we all have our own rocks throughout the "cactus garden" aka the property.. it's really cool! I will have to take pics of them and post them later.. good idea!:).. anyway, so I had to get a shot of K getting his egg in front of the "gravestone"..even though the chipmunk wasn't buried, just disappeared to my knowledge.. that's my family for ya.. well, my DAD! LOVE him!
Spiderman egg!
Those ones are "Fun" to find in the desert! ;)
Cousin Joey and Kaiden still hunting for eggs!

Kaiden with Grandpa helping him find his eggs and the money that Grandma Betty Jean hid around the cabin. That TOO is tradition and we LOVE it! :)

The Easter bunny likes to hide them in "fun" places too! ;) At least we didn't have to aid to a pricked figer THIS year. Last year was the only year outta the 7 that K got "attacked" by the cactuses! ;) whhhhewwww!
Found another one mom!!
Still to come.. the Easter egg retreiving continues.. and the Diebel family hunts with us.. stay tuned.

Easter Morn

So, it was Easter morning.. we camped out at our cabin since the cabin was packed with family.. the best times ever!.. so my dad decided to pitch a tent and the three of us slept in the tent the night before. It was fun. :) Kaiden woke up and found what the Easter bunny had left and was excited! He loves Wall-E and I believe he has wanted that very dish set. ;) It was amazing that I actually woke up before he did.
Kaiden excited about his spongebob watch! I'd never seen so much excitement on his face.

Mike and Maddie. Maddie was opening her present from grandma, and no, she didn't get a basketball.. I believe Kaiden loaned that to her, and she loved it.

K checkin out what grandpa gave him. A fishing pole with a lil tackle box, and I mean little, and a bubble rocket. When he tried the bubble rocket the first time, it was a dud, but then we found ya just have to give it enough ummphh and it soars. The downfall is that the higher it goes, the faster it goes and very few bubbles come out.. but it was a great idea. Kaiden still liked it. He loves bubbles! Thanks grandpa.. and come to think of it, I hope the fishing pole is at the cabin because we only ended up with the tackle box he had to tote around and play with.

Heather and Maddie gettin ready for the easter egg hunt!.. but they haven't made it out the door yet and she's pointing at something. She is so dang cute!.. coming up.. THE EASTER EGG HUNT!!

Maddie's Sweet Treat

So mommy and daddy decided she could have some cotton candy! YEA! So, of course, aunt Heidi was right there with the camera! She's probably thinking, what IS this stuff?..and smiling, but she has no idea the sweet, sugary goodness she is about to consume!
Here's the first bite, on it's way in..don't think it had hit at this point yet, anyway.. but all smiles.. so dang cute!

a bite goes in.. hmm..

The overall thought? Delicious! She just keeps on smiling. She's so adorable!

Going for some more!! MMM..

Man! Mommy! Keep this stuff coming please!

Cheeser for aunt Heidi
aaannnnddd... no nap anytime soon for THIS one! :)

More on the happiest place on earth!

Just having fun with the camera! The first day was windy and kinda chilly, the second day was absolutely beautiful! This was the first night there. Me Heather and Sascha.

Sascha and his GQ pose. :)

The Birthday girl and her lil cutie. I call her mine sometimes, so you might get confused. ;) She's the sweetest little girl there ever was! I love her to pieces and seriously miss her when I'm not with her! :( Heather got to wear a button that said it was her birthday and EVERYONE of the cast members would tell her happy birthday when she passed by. It was funny, even if they were really busy, they went out of their way to tell her happy birthday. It was amazing! :) I SO wanna go on MY birthday! lol :D

This is my bubba! I love this pic of him! I will have to admit that I coerced him into the pose, but it's great none-the-less!
So, the first day came and went, really fast. Not hard to do when you get there halfway through the day, but it was a full day of fun that's for sure! We were all exhausted due to lack of sleep anyway and called it a night after 9 or 9:30 pm or so. All I know is that we were back at our hotel and ordering pizza at 10, no, 11pm! ahh... there's a funny story there, too.. Alaina called, oh, I don't remember, some pizza joint to order and the girl answers the phone with the shpeel they are made to say including,"would you like to try..." and once all that was said Alaina then continues to ask if they delivered and such, which, if I recollect correctly, they didn't, so she was asking where they were located and how far from our hotel they were.. and she and the girl were discussing it and oh, about 5 minutes into the conversation on the phone the girl THEN tells her that they close at 11pm.. and I believe it was 10:55pm if not 11pm already.. so then the girl says, oh, yeah, we aren't taking anymore orders... hahaha Don't worry, we still found our pizza and indulged ourselves, yes, at midnight. There is just something so disgusting and wrong with eating pizza at midnight, but hey,it's not often we'll be making Disneyland trips so live it up, right?? :) I will note that I brought strawberries, bananas, mandarin oranges and tangelos on the trip as well. ;) Gotta have the healthy stuff! Although, each day I HAD to indulge myself in a churro. You can't just GO to Disneyland and NOT have a churro. That's just sick and wrong! :) They were soo good!

Ok, so I'm a little upset that I couldn't post this pic at the end of my blog.. grrr.. but this is K in line for the star tours ride, all excited, just maybe a little tired of mom taking pics all the time! :) eh, it's a mom thing and he may not like it all the time, but he expects it and tolerates it! :D
He had so much fun on this ride, he went again with Grandma, that I thought would FOR SURE toss her cookies.. and surprisingly?..Grandma liked it! Just don't remind her that I bet $5 she couldn't come out of it without losing her lunch! ;)

The beginning of the Disneyland trip

The Birthday Girl!!

K in front of Mickey!

And here we are, sorta infront of Mickey.. there were too many people and we were too impatient to wait. Good enough for us! :) This was actually day two. The first day we didn't have Alaina, so we had to get the shot WITH her.. AND her Minnie ears.

We began our trip Thursday, April 2nd. We were planning on getting on the road by 7:30pm that night after I was off of work and Mike got back in town from work. Now, if you know me and my family, or just know my sister, Heather, ETA's are NEVER correct! Needless to say we ended up pulling out of town at 9:30pm.. but good thing she wasn't ready because I had forgotten my Ipod and you all know me and my music.. hah.. so I had to run home and get it! So, I'm sure you're thinking that, man! you must have gotten into Cali late!.. annndd.. you ARE correct! Can't remember exactly when.. but I believe it was somewhere around the 2am hour.. and yes, we were planning Heather's BIG day the next day to be at Disneyland.. How'd we do it, you ask?.. well, NOT bright and early, that's for sure! I think we went to bed somewhere after the 3am hour, that is all of us with the exception of the Diebels who had a baby girl that didn't wanna go to sleep. She has a hard time the first night, anywhere, so this was no different. Mama and daddy had to drive her around the parking lot like 100 times, so I hear. I wouldn't know, I was sawing logs! haha..

April 3rd-the BIG DAY

So, being that the continental breakfast is from 6:30am - 9:30am everyday, we had to make it to eat in that time. Yeah, each day was interesting, but we got it done. ;) So, yeah, that morning, after arriving at 2am, was a little hazy. I could go on and on and on with just how we DIDN'T get to Disneyland before 2pm, but I won't... we just didn't get there before 2pm. Another kicker, my younger sister was flying into Cali from Carson City that night at 7pm ish.. and my mom says that we will have to leave the park at 5pm. WHAT?? !! and we JUST got here at 2pm?? NO WAY! lol I love ya sis, but oh my.. well, we made other arrangements for her with a shuttle to go to our hotel room and she said she had work to still do anyway. So by the time we got back that night she had only been there a couple hours so we can't feel TOO bad, right?? I kinda did, but we were all going the next day too, and she totally understood, so it was all good. :) I love my sis! But DURING our first day there... ;) we enjoyed a lot of the rides, food and entertainment. It was great to just BE there.. and be outta the norm, hangin with family. The best part was the fact that Heather was SOOO SOOOO SOOO excited to be there and to be celebrating her 30th! She always radiates with energy, positiveness and FUN!..I just LOVE HER! I can't believe in all my 28 years she hasn't rubbed off on me! Dang it! It was so much fun! K had been there before, but he was still excited to be there. He, at first, wasn't as excited as I had thought he would be, until we actually were in lines for the rides. That was the coolest part of all the sacrifices I had to make to get us there, was to see him so excited! His first excitement overload was in line for the Star Tours ride. I, shamefully, actually got sick during the ride and left there feelin a lil queezy, but K was all at it during the whole ride and into every second! He was having a blast! It was fun to see. :)
